Assam CEE Registration 2026: Application Process Guide

Assam CEE 2026 is the entrance exam for admission to 4 years B.Tech courses in Assam. ASTU manages to get through its official online system. The portal has a straightforward application flow. Candidates also have to apply in online mode. Read all instructions carefully and keep this confirmation page for your records. The exam is based on the Higher Secondary syllabus of Assam State School Education Board, and the university has cautioned that providing wrong information may affect candidature at counselling.

• Applicant must be a citizen of India.
• The applicant must be a permanent resident of Assam, having a valid PRC except any special quota rule. 
• The candidate should have passed the Higher Secondary School Completion examination or equivalent examination in one attempt (no grace marks) in the required subjects.
• The candidate shall have passed the qualifying exam with a minimum 45 per cent marks. The minimum qualifying marks for the reserved category candidates is 40%.
• Diploma in Engineering and Technology from SCTE, Assam with 45% marks or 40% for reserved categories candidates may also apply.
• Candidates having B.Sc. degree from any recognised university with minimum 45 per cent marks or 40 per cent for reserved categories and mathematics at HSC level are also eligible to apply.
• Minimum age 17 years on 31 December 2026  Your brochure does not give any age limit.
• Candidates must be of good moral character and in good physical and mental health.
• Candidates belonging to OBC and MOBC should produce valid Non-Creamy Layer certificate issued by the competent authority of Assam.
• Brochure covers Reserved category such as OBC, MOBC, SC, ST(P) and ST(H).

The online Assam CEE 2026 Application Process will be held on the official website of ASTU. All the candidates are advised to follow the complete steps carefully and keep all the required documents for successful registration. 

Step 1: Application fee payment 

The eligible candidates can make payment through the official application portal of ASTU. Application fee as per brochure, 1500 INR. Online is the only payment mode. Payment modes are debit card, credit card and net banking. The same brochure says that the fee is non-refundable.

STEP 2: Complete The Application Form

Candidates have to fill their form online on the official portal after the fee payment. Steps on ASTU Homepage are: Registration, Candidate Login, Application Form, Review Application Form or Edit Application Form, Online Payment and Application Report print. 

Step 3: Uploading Picture and Signature

The brochure needs recent passport size photograph and scanned signature in JPG/JPEG format. It also gives a size and pixel range on both files so the quality of the file is important when uploading. 

Step 4: Check the form again

But the candidates can rectify the data till the last date of submission, ASTU said. The brochure also states that no changes will be accepted by post, fax, email or by hand.

Step 5: Print and Send Your Application

Once the fee and form process is completed, the candidates have to take a printout of the application form and keep the confirmation page. As per brochure applicants are required not to send hard copies to university but keep printout for counselling.

Applications will only be successful if the applicants have paid the registration fee. Payment must be made on-line within the registration period by the approved methods.

The official brochure states that the fee is paid online only and remains non-refundable.

Candidates should have the following details & files ready before starting the online process. Form uses identity, contact, academic & image details as per brochure & application portal:

• A new scan image in JPG or JPG format.
• Signature scanned (JPG / JPEG)
• Valid Email ID for communication through portal.
• Mobile No. (Valid for OTP/ SMS Updates)
• Make the payment by Debit card, Credit card or Net banking
• P.R.C of Assam (if applicable)
• Details of Educational Qualification HSC/Diploma/B.Sc. Route.
• Certificate of Category i.e. NCL for OBC or MOBC as the case may be. 
• Character Certificate of last Institute attended.
• Certificate of fitness from medical officer/medical practitioner.
• Photo identity proof for the day of examination like Aadhaar, PAN, Voter ID, Passport, Driving Licence or Class 12 admit card or registration card.

There is not much leeway for correction once you have submitted the official brochure.” It says that you can edit only till the last date of application submission and no corrections will be accepted thereafter. Hence candidates are advised to consider the submission stage as the last stage.

Assam CEE 2026 Form Correction Process

Forms will remain open for editing until the final submission date. The university says it is not possible to make corrections after the fact by post, fax, email or by hand.
