CMAT Registration 2026: Eligibility

CMAT answer key 2026 was released by the National Testing Agency on January 31, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the CMAT 2026 exam can download the provisional CMAT answer key 2026 pdf from the official website, cmat.nta.nic.in by entering their application number, password and captcha. Candidates who attended the CMAT 2026 exam can challenge the provisional answer key till February 2, 2026, by paying the fee of Rs. 200 per question.  NTA released the provisional CMAT answer key, CMAT question paper 2026 and the response sheet.

National Testing Agency conducted the CMAT 2026 exam on January 25, 2026, in CBT mode in a single shift. NTA is expected to release the final CMAT answer key and CMAT scorecard 2026 pdf by the second week of February 2026.

• Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognised university in any discipline.​
• Final year graduation students can also appear provisionally, subject to submitting their degree before admission starts.​
• There is no minimum percentage required at the CMAT exam level; passing the graduation degree is mandatory.​
• However, many MBA colleges require a minimum graduation percentage of 50% for General category candidates and 45% for reserved categories to grant admission.​
• There is no upper age limit for appearing in CMAT 2026, making it accessible to fresh graduates, working professionals, and career changers alike.​
• Candidates must be Indian nationals, though some institutes may have their own nationality criteria.​
• Reservation benefits (OBC/SC/ST) in participating colleges will be in accordance with government norms; candidates must declare their category status in the application form and provide valid certificates at the time of admission.​

Step 1: Visit the official website: cmat.nta.nic.in.​

Step 2: Click on the “New Registration” link and carefully read the instructions.​

Step 3: Complete registration by entering basic details, creating a password, and getting an auto-generated application number.​

Step 4: Log in using your application number and password to access the application form.​

Step 5: Fill out the CMAT exam form, providing your personal, academic, and contact details accurately.​

Step 6: Choose atleast four preferred test cities for the exam.​

Step 7: Upload a scanned passport-size photo and signature in the required format.​

Step 8: Upload relevant documents (like category/PwD certificate if applicable).​

Step 9: Paying the fee can be done online by a credit/debit card, net banking, or UPI.​

Step 10: After the fee payment, download and print the confirmation page for reference.​

NTA opens the CMAT correction window after the CMAT registration has closed. It allows candidates to make changes to details in their submitted applications. 

• Candidates can login to their profile and edit corrections in specified fields such as personal details, contact information, and exam city preferences.​
• Corrections to uploaded documents, such as photographs or signatures, may also be permitted under NTA guidelines.​
• Only a limited number of fields are editable. Details, such as the candidate's name or category, can not be changed.​
• No fresh fee payment is required to make corrections, as long as the correction is within the allowed window.​
• After making the corrections, candidates should save and confirm changes before the correction period ends.​
