COMEDK UGET 2026 serves as the gateway to admission to undergraduate engineering and architecture programs at over 150 colleges in Karnataka. COMEDK, or the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka, is an autonomous organization formed by the Karnataka Professional Colleges Foundation to conduct fair, transparent entrance exams for admissions to undergraduate programs in private engineering and architecture colleges. It was founded in the 2004–05 academic session and administers the COMEDK UGET entrance exam annually, which serves as a gateway to admissions to over 20,000 seats in its member colleges.

COMEDK UGET 2026 will focus on admissions to BE/BTech and B.Arch programs offered in private colleges in the state of Karnataka. THE COMEDK UGET 2026 online national-level test will be open to all Indian candidates. It is expected to open registration in early February 2026 and take place in mid-May 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

Students planning to seek engineering and architecture programs through COMEDK must ensure they meet these requirements before applying:

• Passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, & Maths as compulsory subjects.
• Aggregate of 45% in PCM, with no less than 40% for Karnataka SC/ST/OBC
• Minimum age 17 years as of the exam dates, and no maximum age limit.
• Indian Nationals/Candidates from Karnataka are eligible; OCI/PIO/NRI categories have different quotas.

Registration Process

Follow these steps sequentially for a successful application:

• Visit the official COMEDK website (comedk.org) and click on the "UGET 2026 Application" link.
• Complete online registration by providing name, email, mobile number, and creating a password.
• Fill in personal, academic, and contact details accurately, and upload scanned photos, signatures, and documents.
• Pay the application fee online using net banking, card, or UPI, then submit and save the confirmation page.
• Download and print the filled application form for records.​

Documents Required

Prepare these scanned copies (specific formats/sizes on website):

• Recent passport-size photograph (JPEG, 30-80 KB).
• Signature (JPEG, 1-30 KB).
• Class 10th marks card as proof of date of birth.
• Class 12th marks card or equivalent.
• Karnataka domicile certificate (for claims in the reserved category).
• Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC) if applicable.​

COMEDK UGET 2026 has a uniform computer-based test pattern for the engineering entrance. The test consists of 180 multiple-choice questions spread over three subjects. The test has to be completed within 3 hours with no negative marking.
