IBSAT 2025: Exam Date, Eligibility, Syllabus & MBA Admission Guide

IBSAT is a national-level MBA entrance exam conducted by ICFAI Business School (IBS) for admission to its MBA and PGPM programmes across IBS campuses in Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Gurgaon, Pune, Kolkata, Jaipur and Dehradun. The IBSAT exam is held once a year in an online, computer-based mode and tests a candidate’s skills in Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation & Data Adequacy. A typical MBA selection process for all IBS campuses, where shortlisted candidates are called for GD/PI rounds based on their IBSAT scores or other accepted test scores like CAT, XAT, GMAT or NMAT. IBSAT results 2025 were out, and the selection briefings were held from January 10 to 24, 2026. Follow the step-by-step instructions to register for the IBSAT exam 2025:

Step 1: Eligible candidates can visit the IBSAT  official website, ibsindia.org, to register for the IBSAT exam. 

Step 2: Click on the “Apply now” button shown on the homepage of the IBS website.

Step 3: To register, enter your name, gender, email ID, current address, state, city, pin code and mobile number. IBSAT registration is shown below. 

Step 4: Click the “Register” button to receive a confirmation email/SMS containing the application number and password. 

Step 5: Use the login credentials to complete the registration and pay Rs. 1800 as exam fees. 

Step 6: Attend the IBSAT test or submit the scorecard of any of the entrance exams, such as CAT/NMAT/XAT/GMAT.

Step 7: Based on the MBA entrance exam score, applicants receive an invitation to attend the further selection process conducted at IBS Hyderabad. 

Step  8: After the completion of all selection rounds, IBS Hyderabad releases the final list of candidates who are shortlisted for IBS MBA/PGPM/Ph.D programmes. 

IBS has not officially released the IBSAT exam syllabus pdf 2025. The IBSAT exam syllabus mentioned below is prepared based on the previous years IBSAT question paper pattern. The IBSAT 2025 syllabus tests candidates' verbal, quantitative, data interpretation, and reading comprehension skills. The sectional-wise IBSAT exam syllabus is mentioned in the table below. 

IBSAT question paper comprises four sections, such as Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, Data Adequacy and Data Interpretation. The total number of questions asked in all sections is 140, with a total of 140 marks. One mark is awarded for each correct answer. Check out the below to know the IBSAT paper pattern. 1. Understand the IBSAT exam pattern and syllabus, focusing on Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude, and Data Interpretation.
2. Revising math concepts from classes 9-10 and enhancing vocabulary and grammar for verbal sections.
3. Create a consistent daily study plan, dedicating 2-3 hours.
4. Practice with 15-20 full-length mock tests, analyse errors, and improve time management using sectional timers.
5. Use trusted learning resources and official IBSAT sample papers for targeted preparation.
6. In the last weeks before the exam, focus on revising essential formulas, key vocabulary, and critical topics instead of learning new content.
