The Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test, more commonly called INI CET 2026, is the main entrance exam for postgraduate medical admissions across some of India’s most well-known government medical institutes. Students aiming for MD or MS courses generally appear for this exam to secure seats in institutes like AIIMS, JIPMER, PGIMER, and NIMHANS. Sometimes, even a tiny score difference changes the branch or college a student gets, which is stressful to even think about when results are close.
INI CET 2026 continues to remain one of the most respected PG medical entrance exams in India, and realistically, that’s not changing anytime soon. Most students begin by understanding the basics first - eligibility rules, registration process, exam pattern, application dates, fees, things like that. Then comes the syllabus. And when aspirants first see the complete syllabus together, it can feel huge.
But over time, people settle into the process.
