Frequently Asked Questions

Should I do NEET for MSc Clinical Embryology?

No. NEET is for MBBS, BDS and other clinical degrees in medicine. MSc Clinical Embryology is a health science laboratory course, and no NEET score is required anywhere in India.

Which colleges conduct a separate entrance exam for MSc Clinical Embryology?

Among the few that have been named, verifiable tests are KMC Manipal (MET), AIIMS Delhi (its own M.Sc entrance exam), and LPU (LPUNEST). Most of the other colleges, including most of them in Bangalore, admit on undergraduate merit.

Is CUET PG mandatory for MSc Clinical Embryology?

Not everywhere. Some colleges across the country do accept CUET PG scores, but it is not a universal requirement — check with your specific list of colleges.

What if the college conducts its own entrance test? What do you get?

Usually general biology, cell biology, genetics, human physiology and basic biotechnology. For instance, the exam for AIIMS Delhi has no fixed syllabus and 90 questions, based on basic and graduate-level biology.

Is MSc Clinical Embryology from BITS or JIPMER a thing?

No. They are on some low-quality aggregator sites, but they are not real. BITSAT is an engineering entrance exam, while the PG entrance of JIPMER/PGIMER is associated with NEET-PG for medical courses and not for admission to Clinical Embryology.

Is there any entrance test for colleges for MSc Clinical Embryology in Bangalore?

Most of them don't. Institutions in Bangalore admit students mostly on the basis of their undergraduate marks and an interview, rather than a written test.

Are the eligibility criteria the same as the entrance test?

No. There are minimum marks and degree background eligibility criteria even to apply. Applicants are ranked on the basis of marks, as well as a separate entrance examination that one applies for.

What if my chosen college requires a test?

The tests at the college level will largely be on your undergraduate syllabus, and not on a specialised course on embryology. So it's usually more beneficial to revise your BSc work on cell biology, genetics and human physiology than to look for a specific guide to prepare you for embryology.
