VITEEE Exam Pattern 2026 (Out): Marking Scheme, Category, and Syllabus

The VITEEE 2026 exam is conducted for B.Tech admissions across VIT campuses in India. The VITEEE 2026 exam date has been scheduled from 28th April to 3rd May 2026. The exam will be conducted across the cities in the country and abroad.

The VITEEE 2026 exam will have MCQ-based questions with 4 marks for each question and -1 for each incorrect response. There will be a total of 125 questions divided into 5 sections, including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, Aptitude, and English.

The VITEEE exam 2026 will be conducted online in MCQ-based questions with 5 sections, including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English, and Aptitude. The VITEEE 2026 exam is divided into types - BPCEA and MPCEA. Candidates will be appearing for the paper based on the course they are applying to and the subjects they have studied.

 VIT Vellore offers B.Tech programs in Biotechnology, CSE with a specialisation in Bioinformatics, and ECE with a specialisation in Biomedical Engineering. Meanwhile, VIT Bhopal offers B.Tech in Bio-engineering. Candidates seeking Bio-related B.Tech programs can apply to the VIT campuses accordingly. However, even after joining Bio-related B.Tech course, it is mandatory to register for Mathematics as a bridge course.

The Vellore Institute of Technology has revised the VITEEE 2026 marking scheme for the VITEEE exam. According to the new changes:

• 4 marks will be awarded for each correct response.
• -1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.
• Candidates will have to attempt the exam within the given time frame.

Moreover, VIT will be releasing the VITEEE B.Tech mock test in March 2026 to make students understand the paper pattern and question type asked in the exam. 

VIT will release the VITEEE mock test 2026 in March to help students understand the latest updates to the paper pattern. Meanwhile, they should refer to sample papers and previous year's related question papers to understand the type of questions that will be asked in the exam. Practising mock tests can help candidates improve their time management and efficiency till the main exam.
