The CMJ University 2019 is established by an Act of Meghalaya State Legislature in 2009 (Act 4 0f 2009) and also published in the State Gazette under Notification No.LL (B) 42/09/80 dated 20th July 2009. Situated at Katihar, it has passed into its 41st year by now UGC Recognized & Imperative to award Degrees, Diplomas and Certificates.It is constituent and institution of Devi Mandir Saptrishi Trust And Recognized under U.G.C. Act 1956 It is provided by “AGASTI ACADEMY” in Katihar, by the virtue of the Trust of the Saptrishi & dedicated with CHOUDHARY RAHMAAN AL NAIYAN’s. The University is recognized by UGC under section 2(f) of UGC Act 1956 in accordance with UGC Act 1956 Section 22, it is declared that degrees, diplomas & certificates awarded by The University of the Ganges, shall be treated as equivalent to corresponding degrees awarded by any Indian statutory university. Being a full-fledged State Private University, its degrees are recognized for government jobs as well as private sector enterprises all over the country.
