About Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology
The Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology was established in 1987 as the Regional Engineering College. It was granted the status of a National Institute of Technology (Deemed University) by the Government of India on 17 October 2002, under the aegis of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, New Delhi. The college was designated as an Institute of National Importance in 2007 by an Act of Parliament. Over the years, the institute has also developed strong relations with the industry, and many leading companies visit the campus to recruit final-year students as engineers or management trainees. As one of the country’s leading NITs, the Institute aims to ensure the provision of high-quality technical manpower to the government and develop a dedicated mission of contributing to the Indian Society. B as well as the Ph.D. and BBA's. D. programs across multiple disciplines.
