Highlights The Indian Institute of Information Technology Bangalore (IIIT-B) began a long-term 5-year Integrated B.Tech + M.Tech programme in 2012. At the end of five years of the programme, successful students would get two degrees simultaneously as one in B.Tech. and the other being M.Tech. All the students will be taught and mentored by Ph.D holders from reputed universities of the world involved in R&D in niche areas of Computer Science & Engineering. I.M.Tech. in CSE is a five years ten semester course with eight semesters dedicated for Academic Course. Students are free to opt for electives from fifth semester. TCS is one of the mandatory elective courses, while SSY appears among the options. By 9th semester, students are provided with the option for project or course work relevant to get admission to good university. On the 10th semester, the student can select between doing a thesis or an internship in a company of relevance.
