Apex Professional University (APU) is a Statutory University established by the Government of  Arunachal Pradesh vide Act 07 of 2013 and recognized by the UGC, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, New Delhi u/s 2(f) of UGC Act, 1956 as State Private University.  Apex Professional University is empowered to award degrees specified by University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 22 of the UGC Act, 1956. APU is a member of  Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi and also approved by regulatory bodies like Council of Architecture (CoA), Bar Council of India (BCI), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE). 

Apex Professional University (APU) is part of the Apex Education Group and manifestation of the divine vision of Revered Acharya Dhanwant Singh to establish Pioneer Gurukul in Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) on the lines of ancient Gurukul – Nalanda and Taxila.  APU is a research driven university, which is deeply committed to its core institutional values of blending the Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) with Contemporary Knowledge Systems (CKS). APU Pasighat campus is eco-friendly.

Our goal is to combine Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) and Contemporary Knowledge Systems (CKS) to produce applicable research with immediate relevance in modern life. To find the lost nuggets of knowledge from ancient Indian literature, and to establish their link to the needs of today’s society. Further, to disseminate these findings throughout the world by setting up a Centre of Excellence in Cosmology, Neuro-architecture, Neuro-Marketing, Yoga & Indian Medicines. 

Apex Professional University (APU) is World’s first Indian Metaphysics University disseminating  Yoga, Ayurveda, Tibetan Tantra, Siddha Medicine, Vedic Cosmology and Architecture. APU has set up 3 Research Centers to study the quantitative Physiological, Radiological, Psychological, Sportive, Biochemical and Neurological contexts of Indian Metaphysics. Here, you’ll meet students and professors who share your curiosity, and they are your companions on a quest to discover new truths and invent new possibilities.

Recognition & Approvals

Apex Professional University is an autonomous body set up by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh through Apex Professional University Act passed by the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) Scheme.  After the ascent of His Excellency Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Apex Professional University Act 2012 (No. 7 of 2013) notified by Government of Arunachal Pradesh in the official Gazette of Arunachal Pradesh vide notification No. LAW/LEGN-17/2012 dated 10th May, 2013.

Apex Professional University, Arunachal Pradesh is included in the list of approved Universities maintained by University Grants Commission (UGC) and Association of Indian Universities (AIU). APU is empowered to award Degrees as specified University Grants Commission (UGC),  Ministry of HRD, Government of India under section 22 of UGC Act, 1956. Apex Professional University (APU) has never affiliated any institution, nor study center in any part of the country other than its main campus at Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh.
