Valia Chhaganlal Laljibhai College of Commerce and Lilaavantiben Chhaganlal College of Arts was founded in 1986 by the Cosmopolitan Education Society. The parent body, The Cosmopolitan Education Society The Cosmopolitan Education society founded in 1961 In the wake of the idealism of starting an educational institution of high standard, a group of public spirited citizens from D.N. Nagar came together.
The mission of the college is to impart value based quality education and training in an area of environment that is intellectually, socially and culturally enriching, to produce responsible citizens, who have a perfect fusion of Indian values and modern tools and technologies for a bright future.
The college having a current strength of over 2500 students offers under graduate & post graduate courses in Arts and Science under the grant in aid system and the self financed system. It offers several undergraduate courses which are -Bachelor of Commerce, (B.Com) Bachelor of Commerce- Accounting and Finance), (B.Com- A&F) Bachelor of Management Studies, (BMS) Bachelor of Arts (Multimedia and Mass Communication), (BA (MMC) Bachelor of Science (Information Technology). The college has also been providing 2 specialized Masters Programme - Master of Commerce (Advanced Accountancy) and Master of Science Degree (Information Technology). The B.Com course is under Grant-in aid system and all other course are self finance.
