The CMJ University, established through an Act of Meghalaya State Legislature under the provision of Section 22 of the UGC Act, 1956, is notified by the UGC under Section 2(f) of the said Act. It is acknowledged by the UGC, (2 f) Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India and is empowered to award Diplomas, Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral degrees. Being a recognized State Private University, their programs are well accepted and qualified for government or private sector jobs in all over India.
