Highlights The M.Sc. Data Science (DS) program prepares the graduates to understand & learn the concepts of Data Science for application in diverse fields dealing with a large amount of stored or streaming data. Students learn to obtain useful inferences using data science tools and techniques. Learning and practice will equip students with the skills to implement and apply deep learning algorithms for analyzing the large volume of data for decision support systems and utilize parallel computing technologies and tools. Core areas of study are programming for data science, scalable database systems, and machine learning. Students can choose to specialize in big data analytics, data security and privacy, data visualization, and reporting. The study of inferential statistics, biomedical imaging, investment analysis, and business data analytics give students interdisciplinary knowledge. Postgraduate programs at SiliconTech are designed and intended to provide deeper knowledge and insight into the specific field of study. However, SiliconTech encourages students to undertake interdisciplinary projects. The institute supports research and practice in such an initiative by assigning additional project guides from other departments to mentor the students.
