Highlights B. Voc. Means Bachelor of Vocation studies or Bachelor of Vocation is a new method of education. It is 3 years undergraduate program offers specialized vocational skills which improves the candidate’s employability skills and minimize skill gap between education and industry requirements. This program is having multi entry and multi exit options which curtails the college drop out from the system. The National Education Policy (NEP ) 20 has been focused on reimagining of the vocational program. The B. Voc. Programs are designed by aligning with NSQF ( National Skill Qualification Framework). NSQF levels are mapped with the traditional education as mentioned below : 10th is mapped with NSQL Level 2, 11th with Level 3, 12th with Level 4 and Graduation with Level 7, Master degree with Level 9 and Ph. D with Level 10. Any skill dropout or 10th pass student now can obtain Graduation degree with integrated option in B. Voc. UGC has been promoting B. Voc. And M. Voc. Programs to improve the employability ratio of the candidates and curtailing dropout ratio. B. Voc. will give multiple options like Retail , Hospitality and Healthcare, Tourism and other industries. It has direct focus on the skill set to be aquired by the candidate to enter into the industry unlike earlier they were doing traditional graduation like B. Sc. , B. Com. Or B. A. having no knowledge about the specific sector.
