Roles and Responsibilities

Tasks

• Perform and oversee a variety of biochemical analyses and tests on patient samples using appropriate laboratory

techniques and equipment. Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and compliance with 

ISO15189:2012 requirements.

• Implement and monitor quality control procedures for biochemical assays to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of

test results. Participate in proficiency testing programs and ensure compliance with external quality assurance requirements.

• Validate and verify analytical methods used in the laboratory for accuracy, precision, and reliability. Document and

maintain records of method validation and verification processes. Oversee the maintenance and calibration of laboratory

instruments and equipment used for biochemical analysis. Ensure that equipment is in good working order and troubleshoot

any technical issues.

• Review and interpret biochemical test results, ensuring accuracy and clinical relevance. Collaborate with healthcare

professionals to provide accurate and timely information for patient diagnosis and treatment.

• Maintain accurate and organized records of test results, including patient information, test methods, and quality control

data.Ensure the confidentiality and security of patient data in accordance with relevant regulations.

• Stay updated on advancements in biochemistry and related fields. Participate in ongoing education and training

programs to maintain and enhance professional competence. Adhere to the requirements outlined in ISO 15189:2012 for the

biochemistry laboratory. Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System.

• Collaborate with other laboratory staff, including pathologists, technologists, and administrators and communicate

effectively with healthcare professionals to discuss test results and address any concerns. Contribute to research and

development activities within the laboratory to improve testing methods and techniques. Stay informed and updated about

emerging trends and technologies in biochemistry.

Salary: 168000 LPA
