Students qualify for BA in Psychology after passing Class 12 from a recognised board. They need a minimum 50% aggregate marks in any stream. Reserved categories receive a 5% mark relaxation. No upper age limit applies. English as a subject helps in some colleges.

The entrance exams accepted by colleges for BA in Psychology programs are CUET UG. Delhi University accepts DUET, and IPU CET is accepted for GGSIPU colleges. Other entrance exams accepted are JMI Entrance, Christ University ET, PUBDET, LPU NEST, MET, and SET. Certain colleges also offer merit-based admission based on Class 12 performance.
