MAT 2026 registration window for CBT mode will close on March 2, 2026. Candidates who missed the MAT PBT mode registration can fill out the MAT application form available at the official MAT website, mat.aima.in. Registered candidates can download their hall ticket from March 5, 2026, onwards. MAT 2026 CBT mode (February session) exam will be held on March 8, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the MAT 2026 exam (CBT & PBT) can expect their MaAT results by the last week of March 2026. MAT, also known as the Management Aptitude Test, is a national-level MBA entrance exam conducted by the All India Management Association. The MAT exam is conducted four times a year, in February, May, September, and December. The MAT exam is conducted in paper-based and computer-based modes. AIMA has announced the MAT test centres on the official website, mat.aima.in. The MAT exam will be conducted in 51 test cities across India.  The test cities for both CBT and PBT modes are distributed in 5 main zones: East, West, South, North and Central. Before applying for the MAT exam 2026, it is recommended to familiarise yourself with the MAT exam eligibility criteria to ensure you meet the requirements for application and test attendance. MAT exam eligibility criteria are, the candidate must completed a bachelor’s degree from an approved university or in the final year of graduation who can submit the certificates at the time of the selection process can apply for the MAT 2026 exam. Follow the instructions below to submit the MAT application form 2026. 

Step 1: Visit the MAT official website, mat.aima.in. 

Step 2: Click on the MAT registration tab and enter the name, email ID, phone number, state, city and password to create an account in the MAT exam portal. 

Step 3: After the submission of the MAT registration form, an OTP will be shared with the registered phone number. Click on the link shared to your registered email ID for verification. 

Step 3: Enter the personal, and academic details to submit the MAT form. 

Step 4: Choose the preferred MAT exam mode, CBT or PBT. 

Step 5: Upload the photograph and signature in the prescribed size and format. 

Step 6: Candidates can choose any 7 management institutes to send the MAT scorecard for MBA admission. 

Step 7: Pay the MAT registration fees of Rs. 2200 for single mode and Rs. 3800 for both CBT and PBT Mode. 

Step 8: Submit the MAT application form and take a printout of it for future reference

MAT admit card is the document that permits the applicant to attend the test. MAT admit cards for PBT and CBT modes are released on different dates. MAT admit card 2026 includes details like name, MAT exam mode, exam criteria, reporting time and exam time. A hard copy of the MAT admit card is required to attend the test. AIMA has released the MAT Exam syllabus for the February session exam on the official website. The MAT exam syllabus covers the type of questions asked in the MAT question paper. MAT exam syllabus includes topics such as Language Comprehension, Intelligence & Critical Reasoning, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis & Sufficiency and Economic and Business Environment. The MAT exam is conducted to assess the logical, mathematical, and language skills of the students.

The All India Management Association has recently revised the MAT exam pattern. The MAT exam consists of 5 sections, each containing 30 questions. The test duration is 120 minutes. The number of questions asked in each of the sections mentioned above is 30. All the questions in the MAT exam are multiple-choice. As per the MAT marking criteria, one mark is awarded for each correct answer and 0.25 will be deducted from each wrong attempt. 

To effectively prepare for the MAT exam, create a structured study plan to cover all the topics of the MAT syllabus, practice with MAT mock tests and previous year MAT question papers, and focus on both strengths and weaknesses. 1. Understand the MAT Exam Syllabus and Paper Pattern 

Be aware of the MAT exam pattern and the subjects covered by the conducting body to prepare for the test. Get familiar with the MAT syllabus and mode of exam to easily crack the test. Understanding the pattern of the test will help answer all the questions of sections comfortably. 

2. Create a MAT study plan 

Allocate specific time slots to cover each section of the MAT syllabus. Attend mock tests and solve previous year's MAT question papers to assess your progress and performance. It will help to figure out the strengths and weaknesses. 

3. Study Materials and Resources 

Choose the latest books or online platforms to get a basic understanding of the MAT syllabus topics. Candidates can attend the offline lectures for the MAT preparation at any of the entrance exam coaching centres. 

MAT results for the CBT and PBT modes (February session) will be released by the last week of March 2026. Candidates who appeared for the MAT exam can check out the results from the official website by using the MAT login credentials. The authority does not send scorecards via post. As per the selection of the institute made by the candidate during MAT registration, the MAT scorecard will be shared with the selected institutes.
