Mira’s College is the very embodiment of Saint Mira Movement in education which had its origin in a desire to serve humanity through path of education as per the kindling given by philosopher-saint Sadhu T.L. Vaswani who was strongly influenced by Gandhiji and his ideal of ‘Nai Talim’. With the distinction of being the first Womens College in Pune, to have been started by women and named after Saint Mira to commemorates the three singular virtues of courage, service & conviction. Today, the institution is blessed to have Dada J.P. Vaswani as its spiritual guiding light forever inspiring it with fervor and passion towards realizing the vision of the college to "Kindle the Light" in every student!
