Nirankari Baba Gurbachan Singh Memorial (NBGSM) College is a unique pioneer institution of higher education and is counted among the BA colleges in Delhi. Its founder, Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji, a transformer of human attitude, ethos, character, and personality, devoted his life to the betterment of society with his enlightened vision, human values, and down-to-earth approach. As the Head of the Nirankari Mission, he worked tirelessly to uplift the spiritual and social status of mankind.
Feeling the pulse of ailing and erring humanity, Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji emphasized that since man is an amalgam of the physical body and the divine soul, it is essential to uplift both to lead a harmonious and blissful life. Realizing that formal education without moral values and spiritual awareness cannot make society an ideal place to live in, he laid the foundation of value-based education. Today, his vision is manifested through more than 20 schools and a degree college run by the Nirankari Mission.
Though Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji is no longer physically present with us, he remains an everlasting guiding spirit. His mission is being carried forward by the present Head of the Mission, Baba Hardev Singh Ji, who is fulfilling the need for contemporary modern education in the 21st century.
NBGSM College will continue to provide wisdom-based knowledge to thousands of students who will be the torch-bearers of tomorrow.
