Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji as Head of the Nirankari Mission, worked tirelessly to uplift the spiritual and social status of mankind.
Feeling the pulse of the ailing and erring humanity, Baba Gurbachan Sigh JI stressed that since man is an amalgam of the physical body and the divine soul, it is essential to uplift both in order to lead a harmonious and blissful life. Realizing it fully well that formal education, without moral values and spiritual awareness, cannot make the society an ideal place to live in, Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji laid the foundation of value-based education. Today, his vision is manifested in more than 20 schools and a degree college being run by the Nirankari Mission.
Though Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji is no more physically present with us, yet he will always remain an everlasting guiding spirit. His mission is being relentlessly carried forward by the present day Head of the Mission, Baba Hardev Singh Ji, who, keeping pace with the changing times, is fulfilling the need for contemporary modern education in the 21st century.
