At the School of Broadcasting & Communication (SBC), Mumbai, we believe education is a powerful tool for social change. As part of the Society for Arts & Mass Communication, a non-profit organization registered under the Registrar of Firms and Societies Act, 1973, we are committed to making a difference through media and education. SBC is affiliated with Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Mass Communication, Asia’s only journalism-focused university, founded with the vision of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.

Our philosophy goes beyond academics—we believe that true learning comes from contributing to society. We actively encourage our students and community members to take part in social initiatives, lending support to those in need. To honor and empower individuals who are dedicated to social work, we offer the Scholarship to Empower and Educate. This scholarship is designed for students who are already making an impact through community service and are committed to continuing their efforts for the greater good. It’s our way of recognizing and supporting those who use their skills and compassion to create meaningful change.
