Ph.D. in Public Policy
The Ph.D. in Public Policy at Alliance University is a full-time, research-driven doctoral program aimed at producing impactful, evidence-based scholarship in governance, sustainability, social development, and public systems. Offered under the Centre of Excellence in Public Policy, Sustainability and ESG Research, the program encourages interdisciplinary inquiry across key focus areas such as environmental governance, climate policy, economics, disaster management, public law, and ethical leadership. Designed for aspiring academics, policy professionals, and ESG strategists, the program combines rigorous coursework with hands-on research, backed by a monthly fellowship, annual contingency funding, and support for national and international conference participation. Scholars benefit from expert faculty mentorship and access to advanced research facilities and global knowledge databases that foster deep analytical thinking and original contributions. Admission is open to candidates with a master’s degree and a strong academic background, or high-performing undergraduate honours students eligible through a bridge course pathway. Selection is based on academic credentials, a detailed research proposal, the Alliance Research Aptitude Test (ARAT), and a personal interview.
