Eligibility Criteria

The candidates are required to have cleared intermediate (10+2) or recognized by the respective State Government and Education Board as equivalent examinations with the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English separately and should have been awarded a minimum of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology combined, at the said qualifying examination for the general category and 40% for SC/ST/OBC. 

For the candidates with disabilities defined under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 (49 of 2016), the minimum qualifying marks in that qualifying examination in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology shall be forty-five per cent in the case of the general category and forty per cent in the case of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes. No candidate shall be eligible for admission to the B.A.M.S. Degree Course unless he is already 17 years old or more on 31st December of the year of the first-year admission in the course. 

A common entrance examination for all medical institutions at the undergraduate level shall be conducted, namely, the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET), for admission to the undergraduate course in each academic year and the examination shall be conducted by an authority appointed by the Central Government. 

To qualify for admission to the undergraduate course for an academic year, a candidate has to secure at least the minimum marks at the 50th percentile in the National Eligibility Entrance Test for undergraduate course conducted for that academic year.
