Rayat-Bahra University (RBU) is established under Punjab Act No. 16 of 2014 as recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and has the right to confer degrees as granted by the UGC Act 1956. RBU, established in 2014, is situated in the vicinity of the energetic city of Chandigarh and has developed into a respected academic institution, recognized for its excellence in education and research.

It has a distinctly broad-based university, with schools ranging from Engineering to Pharmacy to Dentistry to Management to Law to Agriculture to Sciences to Hospitality to Education to Allied Health Sciences to Nursing. The choice-driven and flexible learning system allows students to learn across interdisciplinary courses, take elective courses in other programs and pursue additional skill and employability-enhancement value-added courses.
