Highlights The department of commerce was established in the academic year 2003 with one faculty Miss Sheeja Mol Jacob, the torch bearer guiding the department right from its inception. It’s her sole 24X7 dedication which has made the department reach to such greater heights from a very humble beginning. The program offered then was B.Com (C.A). In 2006 the college shifted to its new building. In 2011 M.Com (e commerce) course was started and in 2013 the department added one more course B.Com (marketing). In 2019 the B.Com (F& T) batch started replacing the B.Com (Marketing) and M.Com (F & T) replaced M.Com (e-commerce). At present there are 11 staff members out of which two have completed their Ph.D. & other two faculty members are in the process of finishing their Ph.D. There are two faculty members completed their M.Phil. The teaching methods used by the faculty are chalk and board, power point presentations, Audio visual aids, case study methods, group discussions & co-operative learning. The department ensures achieving the program objectives by continuous internal assessment, classroom seminar sessions,peer teaching methods, students feedback form, faculty feedback report and regular department meetings to take stock and plan.
