Highlights With the realization of potential that ‘design’ can bring to pedagogy and in interface mainstream streams such as engineering and arts, PES University has chosen to start its Design school. The best is what PESU Design School aspires to be and the pioneer-batch began from August 2016 under the undergraduate course. The UG Program is a four-year B.Des. degree catering to the design of Fashion, Product, Interaction and Communication Design. The first year is common to all the four groups. This degree is equal to the mainstream BTech/BE degrees. The Design School has an increasing number of scholars with rich professional experience who are also from premier institutes (IISc/IITs).

Industrial Design students will understand to design and develop based objects that combine utility, aesthetics, and novelty. This course concentrates on the creation of physical objects ranging from consumer goods to high-end industrial products with a user-centered approach. Through direct experience with prototyping, materials, and manufacturing techniques students will develop the skills to take ideas from concept to market-ready products that improve lives.
Communication Design provides students with the skills to produce powerful visual messages in the form of graphic design, branding and multimedia. From typography and illustration to motion graphics and digital communication, this area of specialization provides you with the tools for creating stories that matter. Students will investigate the psychology behind visual communication and learn about cutting-edge tools that can help their designs reach audiences of all kinds.
Get into the nitty-gritty of digital interfaces and experiences with Interaction Design. This specialism is about creating intuitive and user-friendly digital applications, devices and software products - from mobile apps to websites and wearable technology. With user research, wireframing and prototyping courses among its offering, students are taught how to design with interaction in mind: designs that work and designs that please in contrast to a world of tiring digital everything.
Enter into the wonderful world of fashion, creativity and style with Fashion Design. This program combines creative techniques and entrepreneurship to enable students to develop clothing and accessories that meet current market trends and cultural narratives. From sketching to fabric selection, from garment construction through fashion marketing practice, students will complete a progressive portfolio of projects. Through practical experience within design studios and exposure to sustainable methodology, initiative designers who graduate from this program are ready to create dynamic collections and compete for the international stage.
