This course prepares students to become skilled Genome Data Scientists, capable of working at the intersection of biology, computing, and data analytics. The curriculum includes training in molecular biology, genome organization, sequencing technologies, and data visualization, while also building strong foundations in programming languages and tools like R, Scala, Biopython, Tableau, and MS Excel. Students gain hands-on experience with Linux systems, Big Data tools such as Hadoop and Spark, and advanced techniques in data mining and machine learning.

Maharani Lakshmi Ammanni College for Women (Autonomous), now known as mLAC, is a well-known college in Bangalore located close to top national institutes like IISc, NIAS, and the Raman Research Institute. The college campus is well-planned, with three floors of departments, modern classrooms, and fully equipped labs.
