PG Diploma in Digital Product Design & Management

IIIT Bangalore’s one-year full-time Post-Graduate Diploma in Digital Product Design and Management (PGD-DPDM) is an on-campus program starting in 2024-25. It combines engineering and social sciences to help students understand how new digital technologies are created and used in real life.

Programme Orientation (2 weeks)

• Training on comprehension, writing, and communication skills
• Preparation for curriculum and pedagogical approaches
• Exposure to digital accessibility tools and techniques, especially for persons with disabilities
• Focus on working effectively in inclusive teams

Semester 1 – 16 credits (4 core courses)

• Quantitative Data Analysis
• User Research using Qualitative Methods
• Information Economics and Product Finance
• IT Project and Product Management

Semester 2 – 24 credits (3 core courses + 1 elective + 4-month capstone project)
Core Courses:

• Innovation and Design Thinking
• User Experience (UX)
• Software Architecture for Digital Products

Elective Course (choose 1, tentative list):

(Introduction to Accessibility, Technology Regulation and Law, Software Production Engineering / DevOps, The City)

Capstone Project: 4-month practical project
