Highlights Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was started in the year 1997. the department has well qualified, passionate and dedicated staff, most of who are engaged in path breaking research and development. Department has current annual intake of 30 students and lateral entry students from all parts of India. The students are encouraged to work on both in-house projects and with leading Research Organizations in Electrical Sciences. Every year students and faculty members have been publishing technical papers in National and International Journals. The campus placement is excellent. Apart from this, many students have secured admission in prestigious Universities abroad. In the recent past, the students graduating from the Department have been placed in reputed core Electrical Engineering companies and Information Technology consulting companies. The Course at the Department is a healthy amalgam of Power Engineering, Industrial Drives and Digital Electronics and Computer Science Engineering, comprehensive and in keeping modern trends of Electrical and Electronics Engineering education. Course pattern at the department is planned to keep the students up to date with the recent trends and shifting technological paradigms, making them industry ready.. The pedagogy of the Department is shifting towards Outcome Based Education. As part of this, an Academic Council has been set up to take valuable suggestions and views on the activities happening in the Department. The annual techno-cultural fest of the Department titled “MILAGRO” is planned and organized by the students. The faculty members of the Department, through the e-learning facility, have created an online open-access video lecture series for the critical courses accessible to all. Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) PEO-1 To accomplish success in electrical and electronics engineering areas or interdisciplinary fields that require investigative and proficient skills. PEO-2 To kindle students to contribute their qualified ideas in various fields of professions and to excel them in leadership qualities in technical world. PEO-3 To instill in students, proficient mind-set, effectual communication skills and ability to thrive in multi-disciplinary in different fields. PEO-4 To encourage students to pursue proficient improvement, including continuing or higher education relevant to their career growth and to produce eagerness for life-long learning.
Infrastructure
Boys Hostel
A beautiful hostel for boys is available in the campus with necessary amenities like individual cot, study table, chair and wardrobe with locking facility. The hostel is maintained so well with a team of our Maintenance staff. The hostel is provided with 24 hours power backup with good drinking water facility. The other facilities available include solar heaters, reading room, TV lounge, Volley Ball Court, indoor games like Carroms board, Table Tennis and a multi Gym. Students are provided with high speed wi-fi internet facilities in the hostel during the prescribed time.
Girls Hostel
An exclusive and well secured hostel for girls is available for the students. The hostel is maintained by a well qualified Warden and the team of maintenance staff. Our Girls hostel comprises Warden’s office, Visitors lounge, reading room, dining hall, TV lounge and small indoor games room. The hostel is of three sharing type with attached Bath and Toilet with hot water facilities. Computers with internet connectivity are provided at our Girls hostel for the students’ educational purpose.
Transport
A fleet of Buses is operating from Bangalore city and Hosur to our College. The bus network covers all corners of the city and important junctions. A team of experienced drivers drive our buses complying all safety norms and traffic rules. The College encourages the student to make use of the transport so that they can reach the college in time safely and comfortably. With the help of individual bus monitors, special attention is given on all the students for their commutation
Also, KSRTC and BMTC bus facilities are available to our College campus at short intervals during the starting and ending hours of the college. Railway service is available from Bangalore City Station to Anekal Town during Morning as well as in the Evening.
Our canteen is effectively functioning to satisfy the needs of Students and Staffs with delicious and variety of food items at affordable rates. The food variety ranges from snacks, chats, South / North Indian dishes, Chinese fast food, Fresh Juice, ice creams and soft drinks.
