M.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering

Master of Technology in Electronics and Communication is a post-graduate course. The course duration is two years i.e. four semesters. The course covers a wide range of advanced communication subjects such as Advanced Wireless Communication, Advanced Optical Communication, Advanced Digital Signal Processing, Network Security, Advanced Radar System, Information Theory and Coding, Soft Computing, Signal & Image Processing, Advanced Antennas, Nanotechnology, Digital and Analog IC Design, Advanced VLSI, etc.

PROGRAMME OBJECTIVE

• To develop the ability among students to analyze the technical problems and develop feasible, optimal, environmentally and socially acceptable solutions by applying research skills, technical knowledge, and modern tools while working individually and in teams.
• To produce professionally competent students that can work in education, R&D institutes, Industry, and as an Entrepreneur in the field of Electronics & Communication Engineering.
• To prepare professionals who will thrive to pursue life-long reflective learning to fulfill their goals.
• To inculcate an ability to communicate effectively, improve personality and practice professional ethics and social responsibility in their career.

PROGRAMME OUTCOME

• An ability to adapt existing models, tools and techniques, etc. for efficiently solving problems related to ECE.
• An ability to design a system and process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as health, safety, security, and manufacturability
• An ability to perform effectively in diverse and Multidisciplinary teams as a member/leader and take objective & rational decisions to achieve common goals.
• An ability to contribute by original research and innovation to solve engineering problems. An understanding of professional, ethical, intellectual issues, practices, and social responsibilities as a researcher and member of society.
• An ability to use research-based techniques and skills including literature survey, experiments, research methodologies, analysis and interpretation of data, and development of scientific/technical knowledge to provide valid conclusions by contributing individually or in groups.
• An ability to function professionally with ethical responsibility as an individual as well as in multidisciplinary teams with a positive attitude.
• An ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate using multimedia tools and modern technologies.
• An ability to experimentally evaluate and carry out intelligent tradeoffs in the design of electronic systems as per the needs of the industry and society.
• Understanding and ability to use advanced hardware and software tools for the development of new electronic systems
• An understanding and ability to analyze a problem and formulate an intellectual & creative framework for conducting research for its solution in a theoretical, practical, and policy context.
• An ability to discriminate, evaluate, analyze & synthesize the existing and new technologies of electronics and communication engineering and integrate the same for enhancement of knowledge.
