About Delhi Institute of Tool Engineering (DITE)
Delhi Institute of Tool Engineering (DITE) emerged in 2007 from the merger of two pioneering centers: the Tool Room & Training Centre (TRTC) at Wazirpur Industrial Area, supported by Denmark's government, and the Hi-Tech Vocational Training Centre (HTVTC) at Okhla, backed by Italy. Operating as Campus I (Wazirpur) and Campus II (Okhla), these hubs were created to bolster Delhi's industries by delivering skilled talent in tool design and manufacturing, along with precision jobwork like dies, molds, press tools, jigs, and fixtures. Over three decades, DITE has championed micro, small, and medium enterprises through hands-on training by expert faculty and production for giants like Maruti Udyog, L&T, Voltas, and Minda, while offering consultancy to the SSI sector.
Today, affiliated with GGSIPU and AICTE-approved, DITE runs diverse programs including post-ITI courses, diplomas in Tool & Die Making and Mechanical Engineering, B.Tech. in Tool Engineering and Mechatronics, and the rare M.Tech. in Tool Engineering—unique nationwide for its degree-level focus. Short-term CNC and tool engineering courses round out offerings, with trainees gaining on-the-job experience leading to campus placements. As India's sole hub for such specialized tool engineering education, DITE aspires to excellence, blending legacy craftsmanship with modern innovation to fuel industrial growth.
