Highlights The Department of Computer Applications is devoted to studying and researching the applications of Computer Science at both undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. To bridge the wide gap between the theory and applications of Computer Science, the Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) is conducted here. The program BCA is affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (formerly known as WBUT). BCA is a 3-year full-time degree course, divided into 6 semesters, each of 6 months' duration. At the end of every semester, a semester-end examination is conducted by the affiliating University, MAKAUT. The intake of the course is 60 (sixty). The Department has produced several batches of young, trained and talented individuals who have made their marks in the Software Industry in India and abroad. The students are well-placed in companies such as Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Wipro, Cognizant (CTS), Infosys, ITC Infotech, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, Deloitte, IBM, Amazon, and many more.
