About us
In 1997, Dr. S.C. Vats, founder of Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies- Technical Campus (VIPS-TC), met Swami Jitatmananda Ji in the year, who is distinguished educationist, management expert, versatile author of books on Modern Physics & Vedanta and Indian Ethos in Management, active social worker and editor Prabudh Bharat (Awakened India) a journal started by Swami Vivekananda.
An then fate-destiny or whatever you may call took a definitive form under a silver oak-tree at ‘Advait Ashram’ at Mayawati in Pithoragrah District of Uttaranchal when, inter-flowing thoughts were surging out of Swamiji’s lips amidst balmy breeze of the dense pine and fir, he came out almost with a diktat to carry out an Order, to Dr. Vats as ordained destiny-fate that in the capital of the country, the Institute for higher learning must be established in the name of Swami Vivekananda, a prophet and a path finder.
It was a mammoth project and much of it had to rest on Dr. Vats’ shoulders. But determined as he was, he came back to Delhi and within next two months sold his ancestral house and to seed the capital to form a new Institute on lofty ideals was essential.
To realize Swamiji’s dreams, Dr. Vats laid down a road map. As a first step, he called a brain storming session of some of the best legal minds in the country, including some of retired civil servants and academic types. The brain child of which was a society for Total Revival of Nation which was named as society for Total Revival & National Glory and True HERITAGE under the provisions of the Registration of Societies Act, 1860 vide. Regd No. 311 of 1998, with the objective of making VIPS-TC a change agent for the better with sharp focus on “Man Making, Character Building, Nation Building” as envisaged by SAWAMI VIVEKANANDA.
