About us
The Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) has adopted a new UG/PG syllabi (Choice Based Credit System-CBCS) from the academic year 201415 so that the courses offered by VTU are industry-oriented and relevant. It is a multi-disciplinary institution offering the variety of courses in engineering, technology, pure and applied sciences and management, VTU has 13 QIP centre in various affiliated colleges and 16 extension centres for offering PG courses. The institution has expanded and developed since then, and now aims to serve the country by providing the best trained professionals who can add worth to innovation and growth.
Supported by a diverse community of students, unique faculty, aspiring citizens and well wishers and with strong Government relations, VTU is often standing out as a technical university which aspires to be in the forefront of the diversity of higher education in India. It has also implemented various examination reforms in India such as the Digital Evaluation System in 2011-12, being the first university to do so, apart from others like the Question Paper Delivery System (QPDS), on-line result declaration, easy access to answer script photocopies, digital evaluation of PG and Ph. D. entry test, notification of M. These processes underscore VTU’s firm focus on bringing in innovation, adopting the best practices, attaining transparency and optimization of education.
