Placement Process The placement process at DBS is managed by the Career Development Cell (CDC) and actively involves students through a dedicated committee. Under the guidance of an experienced Placement Coordinator, the CDC organizes various activities that foster strong industry connections and promote interaction with corporate leaders. These relationships are key to building trust in DBS's ability to nurture talent and develop essential skills in our students.
DBS takes pride in consistently achieving more than 100% placement offers each year. Last year alone, interviews were arranged with over 70 top-tier companies, resulting in a number of job offers that surpassed the number of eligible students.
Multiple Placement Opportunities DBS offers students the unique advantage of multiple placement opportunities. The Career Development Cell categorizes job opportunities into three tiers: A, B, and C, based on company reputation, job description, and salary package. Students are allowed to interview with multiple companies until they receive their first confirmed job offer. After securing the first offer, they can still opt to interview with two more companies in higher categories, providing them with the opportunity to secure an even better position.
Career Development Cell (CDC) The CDC at DBS plays a crucial role in career guidance and decision-making, emphasizing career development as an ongoing process. The cell conducts workshops designed to prepare students for the selection process and offers personalized career guidance based on each student's strengths and weaknesses. This helps students gain insights into the most suitable industries and professions for their skills and personalities.
Regular corporate visits, guest lectures from industry professionals, and subject matter experts are integral to the CDC’s activities, helping students stay informed about current industry trends. The CDC also assists in arranging summer internships, ensuring that students gain practical experience aligned with their career goals.
International Internships DBS Global offers international internships in Singapore, providing students with valuable exposure to global business practices. These internships cover boarding, lodging, and travel expenses, along with a stipend. While participation in international internships is optional, students who choose to take part will need to cover the associated costs, as these are not included in the standard college fees.
