Yenepoya Deemed to be University, situated in the serene area of Deralakatte, Mangalore, provides outstanding hostel accommodations for its students. There are dedicated hostels for both men and women. Female students reside in Zuleka Ladies Hostel, Gardenia‘ B’ and ‘C’ Blocks, Ayesha 1 and 2, and Tech Bay Mphasis (Jeppu) Hostels. Male students are housed in YMK1 Boys Hostel, YMK New Boys Hostel, Gardenia ‘A’ Block, Fathima Hostel, BRU Hostel, Hassan Chambers, and Tech Bay Mphasis (Jeppu) Hostels.
Each room comes equipped with essential amenities. The PG hostels are air-conditioned, while UG hostels provide air-conditioned rooms upon request. Facilities include dining halls, TV rooms, Wi-Fi, RO drinking water, a gym, laundry services, a food kiosk, a coffee shop, and recreation halls. Students can play indoor games, snooker, and table tennis. Safety and health are top priorities, with 24/7 security, CCTV monitoring, regular pest control, housekeeping, and hygiene checks conducted by faculty. Yenepoya Deemed to be University strives to create a "home away from home" experience for all students.
The Yenepoya University has a Wi-Fi-enabled campus for access to Yen-Net, on 90% of the campus, 24x7. Open access to the Internet has inherent risks; all access is kept safe and secure with filtered learning material, entertainment, and social channels.
The central library is the main hub for students, having over 30,000 books and a variety of e-resources, including EBSCO, HELINET, INFONET, etc. In addition, there is an e-learning center and a digital library for online learning.
The cafeteria is a very energetic, lively meeting point for students where lots of fun, creativity, and energy are found. Between classes, students love to chill and recharge while relaxing in the atmosphere of a cafeteria where lots of food can be had.
Since 2012, the campus has had a professionally managed, hygienic food processing unit. Using state-of-the-art equipment, the facility prepares 6,500 hygienic food packs daily for students. The education block houses two restaurants serving 5,000 regional and continental food packs daily. Our hospital provides free, dietician-approved meals to patients and attendants. In addition, six specialized cafeterias offer food around the clock.
The in-house laundry service makes door-to-door pickup and delivery on campus to get rid of doing all the time-consuming work inside the hostels for the benefit of the students. It then cleans all its uniforms and does dry-cleaning and irons with mechanized facilities without wasting water or chemicals and does not consume excessive energy. Now we have maintained more initiatives: conserving our water, and working with biodegradable compounds to sustain the efforts towards environmental needs.
