Eligibility criteria for PGPEX-VLM at IIT Madras

  1. First-Class Graduate Engineers with First Division/First Class marks from the secondary/high school level onwards.
  2. For self-sponsored candidates: Minimum 4.5 years to a maximum of 10 years of work experience in manufacturing, engineering, or related sectors (such as production planning, design, R&D, quality control, plant engineering, logistics, supply chain, construction, and maintenance).
  3. For sponsored candidates: Minimum 4.5 years of work experience; no upper limit on total experience.
  4. For candidates on study leave: Minimum 4.5 years of relevant experience; no upper limit on experience; eligible for campus placements upon submission of a No Objection Certificate from the employer.
  5. Selection is based on a combination of consistently strong academic record, relevant work experience, employer’s recommendations, aptitude test, and personal interview conducted jointly by IIM Calcutta, IIT Kanpur, and IIT Madras.
