Eligibility Criteria

  1. Applicants must hold a Master’s degree or an equivalent professional degree recognised by the relevant statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or a CGPA of 6.0. Degrees from foreign institutions are also accepted if a recognised assessment and accreditation agency in that country accredits them.
  2. In exceptional cases not directly covered by the standard norms, an Equivalence Committee, constituted by the Vice Chancellor, will review applications. This committee, along with the Research Advisory Council (RAC), can recommend additional qualifications or requirements in specific areas for approval by the Academic Council.
  3. It is desirable that candidates not only meet the minimum prescribed qualifications but also demonstrate an excellent academic or professional track record in the relevant discipline.
