The typical route that students take to earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree is to complete a three-year bachelor's degree (such as a BA, BSc, BCom or BBA) in order to qualify for the two-year MBA curriculum. Due to the requirement that the two-year MBA programmes accommodate students from a variety of bachelor's degree programmes, some undergraduate courses are added to the MBA curriculum, resulting in repeated coursework. After Class XII, students must additionally devote a minimum of five years to completing their MBA degrees.
