University of Engineering and Management. Act No 25 of 2014 of Govt of West Bengal is the foundation of UEM Kolkata, which was set in 2014. The students of the University are exposed to the best corporates since it is located in New Town, in Eastern India and is very close to the Netaji Subhas International Airport. In the NPTEL program, ranked by the IIT Kharagpur and IIT Chennai, UEM Kolkata has been ranked among the top 10 of the Indian institutes with all the IITs and all the NITs in the country included. The IEM UEM group is a distinguished educational group among the industry-focused academic training organisations of the contemporary times. IEM has established exquisite standards in managing the technical and managerial resource scarcity on the new age of dynamic globalisation. The IEM UEM group is now a well known organization in terms of its prowess in teaching and R&D in diversified fields. It works towards this end in order to serve both the future and the Nation by its dedication to self sufficiency and unrivaled perfection. The IEM UEM group has been overcoming countless standards of accomplishments and accreditation since its inception. Nowadays IEM boasts of a gigantic network of vast activities with an awe-inspiring student body as epitomes of a brighter tomorrow. The IEM UEM Group has come with an open door policy to the young minds who are not afraid to dream. It promotes the free inquiry and imagination spirit. Dreams are formed in this temple of learning. The school board tries to instill the human values and discipline among the students to ensure that they become decent human beings. It motivates the learners to learn, to experience their potential and inculcate the best practices. Since its very beginning, the placement cells of both IEM and UEM have continued to offer 1-2 jobs to the average student of the two institutions. 

i) UEM Kolkata has been ranked in NPTEL program (among all institutes of India and all IITs and NITs) in the category of AAA (first 10 institutes in all) (IIT Kharagpur and IIT Chennai).

ii) UEM Kolkata student has been ranked 1 st in NPTEL program among all students in India. 

iii) UEM Kolkata was the sponsor of UEMCON-2016 in the New York network of Columbia University in USA under association with IEEE New York, IEEE USA and IEEE Region 1. 

iv) There is one of the best Placement Cells in the country belonging to the educational group. Even in its inception, IEM and UEM have guaranteed 1 to 2 jobs to its entire student population. The same narrative has been re-enacted even in the year 2016 when all students in IEM and UEM received an average of 1 to 2 job offers.
