The MBA + Ph.D dual-degree programme at IIIT Allahabad is a full-time integrated track designed to produce professionals who can seamlessly transition from management education to high-level scholarly research. It is an eight-semester (four-year) programme, during which students complete the MBA coursework and then move into doctoral research, culminating in a Ph.D degree. Candidates admitted to this programme gain exposure to core management subjects, electives, seminars, research methodology and then focus on Ph.D level research under supervision. The programme is structured such that students maintain performance criteria; those who satisfy the requirements in MBA coursework are eligible to continue into the Ph.D phase. The aim is to develop graduates who are competent in both business leadership and original research, able to address complex challenges in technology-intensive industries, drive innovation, publish their work, and potentially contribute to both academia and practice.
