Highlights The first year of the PGDM Programme starts with a coverage of foundation subjects which impart to the students a sound knowledge of the essential functional areas of business. In the second year, the emphasis shifts to elective courses, which are designed to give the students as wide a choice as possible, to specialize in areas of their interest and acquire advanced knowledge and skills. The programme rounds off with a strong emphasis on integrative and value-oriented courses such as Business Policy, Business Ethics and Environmental Issues so as to make the student not only a competent manager, but also a socially responsible citizen. Considering the phenomenal growth and importance of IT industry, current topics related to Big Data, Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things are included in the programme. A summer project spread over eight weeks between the first and second years enables the students to put into practice many of the key concepts they will have learnt.

The Beginning - XIME Bangalore XIME was established in 1991 by a group of distinguished academicians under the leadership of Prof. J. Philip, former Director of IIM, Bangalore. XIME Bangalore is located in the heart of Electronics City, the Silicon Valley of India, Bangalore with IT icons such as Hewlett Packard, Infosys, TCS and Wipro as its neighbors. The campus vibrates with myriad activities such as conventions, conferences, student competitions, short-term industry relevant programmes and cultural activities, along with excellent cocurricular activities.
On 28th May 2019, XIME completed 28 years of glorious service to the Nation. It was on the same day, 28 years ago that eight founders got together at the residence of the Archbishop of Bangalore and signed the Memorandum of Association of this Institution.
The story of XIME's journey is also one of sheer determination and grit. It has come to symbolize the resilience of our founders, rising as it has done from its humble beginning to a world class Institution with fully residential campuses in Bangalore, Kochi and Chennai.

Early years were difficult – just a paltry sum of Rs. 60,000/- as the initial capital, no building or land of our own, and no rich man in the group. But, we were driven by a strong concept, a clear vision and a passion to dare and achieve. XIME's story of growth and achievement is singular, and we are proud of it.
