Highlights The two-year full-time Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM) is the flagship programme of IIM Tiruchirappalli . Its main objective is to develop young women and men into competent professional managers, capable of working in any sector of organized activity, proceeding leadership and achieving excellence in performance while contributing to the welfare of the larger society. The first year of the programme offers courses covering various disciplines exposing the students to different facets of business management. On completion of these core courses, the programme provides the option of choosing electives from a pool of specialized courses during the second year. The elective courses are designed to nurture future managers in the area of their interests, aligning them with their career goals and objectives. Students work on a Summer Internship assignment in an organization and also undertake ‘Make a Difference’ Team project as part of the curriculum. The Post Graduate Programme in Management is recognized by Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to a Master’s Degree of an Indian University for the purpose of admission to higher studies.

The flagship program at IIM Trichy is the Postgraduate Programme in Management (PGPM), which represents the Institute’s quest to provide young managers with the intellect and attitude that will help them become agents of change. This is a full-time, two-year residential program of study spanning six academic terms. At this level, you have the first year that builds basic foundations of Management (Finance, Marketing, Operations, HR, Strategy and Economics) from which everybody shares a robust core education. In the second year, students can choose from a vast range of electives, allowing them to specialise in areas that align with their interests and career aspirations. With a mandatory summer internship that bridges theory and practice, the program has initiatives such as this year’s “Make a Difference” project, which adds a social and ethical dimension to learning. It’s the blend of structured academics and experimental learning that makes the PGPM at IIM Trichy a life-changing adventure, which ensures you become ready for any role.
