The BPT course at D. Y. Patil University spans 4 years of academic study, followed by a six-month internship, making it a 4.5-year programme. The curriculum has recently been updated in line with NEP guidelines, offering a flexible CBCS pattern that allows students to choose electives while ensuring they cover core physiotherapy topics. Alongside basic medical sciences such as anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry, students study specialised physiotherapy modules: musculoskeletal, neurology, cardiopulmonary, paediatrics, and community physiotherapy.
