MGM’s BPT programme is structured under the CBCS (Choice-Based Credit System), giving students flexibility to choose electives while completing core physiotherapy courses informed by both basic medical sciences and advanced clinical subjects. Over eight semesters, students study anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, electrotherapy, and disease-based physiotherapy approaches. Clinical training happens in real-world settings: students work in outpatient departments, trauma centres, NICU, surgery wards, and community health settings under the supervision of experienced faculty. They are also posted in special patient support groups — such as for stroke, Parkinson’s, and respiratory conditions — and in non-hospital environments, such as old-age homes, industrial sites, and community health camps. Research is woven into the curriculum: from early semesters, students are encouraged to propose, conduct, and possibly publish small research projects, building their ability to evaluate evidence critically.
