Symbiosis International promotes international understanding through quality education, and is home to a community of students from more than 85 different nations.
But the Symbiosis journey started on a sudden high, ignited by an incident that is story worth telling. Dr. Mujumdar was touched by the heart-rending situation of their international counterparts. Symbiosis was born out of passion to provide ‘a home away from home’ for international students. The college was established to cater to the needs of the foreign students coming to India and has since grown into one of the recognized BSc nursing colleges in Pune. These things used to be a headaches at that time such as - stay, meals, medical treatment, advice, coaching about the city etc. The institution is home to a culture of discovery, research and innovation. The university offers specialized research units where dedicated professors and students work together on ambitious projects that explore new ways of knowing. More than an academically rigorous institution, the university fosters a lively student life offering pathways for experience and engagement.
