The B.Pharm program is a 4-year undergraduate degree that provides broad scientific training across major branches of pharmaceutical sciences, including pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmaceutics, pharmacology, and pharmacognosy. Students gain in-depth knowledge of drug discovery, drug design, synthesis of medicinal molecules, formulation development, and evaluation of pharmaceutical and herbal agents. The course emphasises practical skills, including in vitro and in vivo pharmacological screening, analysis of medicinal compounds, drug stability testing, biological standardisation, and understanding of drug interactions within the human body. Through hands-on laboratory work, students learn how medicines are designed, tested, manufactured, and regulated, giving them a strong understanding of the entire pharmaceutical development pipeline. The program also incorporates clinical and industrial aspects of pharmacy, enabling students to explore areas such as clinical pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, community pharmacy, biotechnology-based products, regulatory affairs, and quality assurance. By the end of the course, students are well-prepared to work in pharmaceutical companies, research laboratories, or hospitals, or to pursue higher education, such as an M.Pharm or Pharm. D. degree.
