The Pharm.D Degree is for those who have already completed their B (Bachelor of Pharmacy) and the duration of the course is for3years. This includes 2 years of specialized academic training in clinical pharmacy, pharmacotherapy and patient care, and 1 year of mandatory internship or residency in hospital settings amongst others. Graduates will be trained to practice as clinical pharmacists who provide direct patient care, optimize medication management, and make sound therapeutic decisions. With an increasing need for health care providers, Pharm. D (PB) have career prospects in hospitals, clinical research organizations, pharmacy and biotech industries, and academia in India as well as abroad.
