Highlights
The Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) is a postgraduate degree program that focuses on advanced studies and research in the field of pharmacy. It is designed to provide students with specialized knowledge, skills, and expertise in pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacology, pharmacotherapy, and related areas. Students in an M.Pharm program may have the opportunity to specialize in a particular area of pharmacy based on their interests and career goals. Specializations may include pharmaceutical biotechnology, industrial pharmacy, clinical pharmacy, pharmacoinformatics, and more.
Upon completion of the M.Pharm program, graduates can pursue various career opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry, research and development organizations, hospitals, regulatory agencies, academia, and other healthcare settings. They may work as pharmaceutical researchers, drug development scientists, clinical pharmacists, regulatory affairs specialists, pharmaceutical marketing professionals, or educators in pharmacy schools and colleges. Additionally, some graduates may choose to pursue further education through doctoral programs (Ph.D.) in pharmaceutical sciences or related fields.
Applicants are required to have obtained a minimum average score of 55% in their undergraduate degree (50% for SC/ST candidates). While it is preferable for candidates to have qualified in the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT), those who have not cleared GPAT may also apply for the program.
